SRI ratings are all about annual report research, so completing ratings and taking on the next company requires an adjustment process. Some companies’ reports are user-friendly, i.e. well-labeled, sequenced intuitively, and presented in easy-to-read fonts; others are not so simple. The company that I just started to rate has a terrible layout. The font are difficult to read, the order is arbitrary, and the colors are yellow, red, and black—headache inducing.
I spent about 7 hours rating this company. After completing about 80% of the rating, Sean figured out that it was no longer listed. That means I didn’t have to rate it in the first place. Instead of punching the computer screen, I gave myself an extended break to calm down.
